Resolved Question: Will this help me get into a good private university.?

I want to get into a private university, like Loyola Marymount, Cornell, Boston University, University of Miami or Columbia. I'm at a California Community College right now, and will go in as a transfer. I have a 3.8 GPA and I've been volunteering at the Los Angeles Superior Court for a year.
